Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor in the morning and a reporter on WCBD TV. The stories she reported in Charleston about the police's leniency when it comes to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. It led to state authorities issuing more strict rules in these instances. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell was a anchor and investigative reporter at the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter.
